On 23 June 2022, leaders in business, community and government will sleep without shelter on one of the longest nights of the year to help change the lives of Australians experiencing homelessness. More than 116,000 Australians experience homelessness on any given night. This year our Executive Leadership Team are taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For a night, members from our leadership team spent the night outdoor as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness. Together with associates, Ingram Micro raised more than $17,000.
Ingram Micro is partnering with Foodbank Australia who provide food hampers to thousands of charities, schools and individuals across the country. In 2022 our associates volunteered 300 hours packing to this charity gaining a better perspective of the real-life challenges faced by so many Australian’s and we look forward to giving back in 2023. Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the work of the front-line charities who are feeding vulnerable Australians. Foodbank provides more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nation-wide. To find out more about Foodbank visit www.foodbank.org.au to see your specific state.
